Creative day dates to do before prom

Day dates:

  1. Disposable camera date:

Take tons of pictures on a disposable camera, print them out & create a scrapbook

  1. Take a hike:

Yellow Fork Canyon (Herriman), Donut falls, American fork canyon

  1. Bowling with a twist:

-Bring Oven Mitts: they have to bowl using the oven mitts

-Under Legs: have more than one person standing (legs apart) and you have to bowl through their legs

-Spin 10 Times: spin 10 times then bowl immediately after

-Left Hand: bowl with your non-dominant hand

-Slow Motion: bowl in slow motion

-As Fast as You Can: self explanatory

-Penguin Slide: run and slide on your stomach while bowling

-Stomach: lie on your stomach and push the heaviest ball you can find

-Soccer: stand on the line and push the ball with your foot

  1. Volunteer:

There are plenty of homeless shelters and animal shelters around the Salt Lake Valley who would love volunteers

  1. City scavenger hunt:

Before the date starts, hide clues around your city (or neighboring cities) to complete a scavenger hunt. You can also do a picture scavenger hunt where  you have to find a certain word or place and take pictures to complete the hunt.

You can take a short walk up in the canyon to have an exclusive picnic or you can take the ghetto route and get a truck, put a table in the bed of it, and eat there.

  3. Go to DI:

Get ghetto outfits & go tour open houses. Act like a newly wedded couple looking for a new home. Pay close attention to the looks you get.

  1. Messy Twister:

Get a game of twister and roll it out flat. Get crayola paint to match the color, dab a large spot on each circle and play.

  1. Impractical Jokers:

Like the TV show, ‘Impractical Jokers,’ you do funny challenges in public; pin balloons to random strangers, ask awkward questions, etc. If people fail the challenge, they are publicly humiliated by the rest of the group.

  1. Fly kites
  2. Homemade pizzas
  3. Long boarding/biking/skating around your city
  4. Local sports games
  5. Treasure hunting
  6. Coupon date:

Grab magazines, newspapers, and online ads and cut out coupons. You’re only allowed to us those coupons the whole date.

  1. Build a fort
  2. Pick a theme:

This one takes a bit of creativity. Pick a theme such as, “Mexican Night,” “Disco Night,” and “French Night”

  1. Break a record
  2. All the holidays in a day:

Start with an Easter egg hunt that morning, continue on to gingerbread houses, have a thanksgiving dinner before the dance, go to the dance, then after, light off sparklers and floating lanterns for the fourth of July.
