Do the Utah Jazz really have a Shot at Winning at all this Year?
The Utah Jazz have had a record breaking season and they also finished the regular season first overall in the western conference.
The question for the Utah Jazz for the last few years really has been, will they ever have what it takes to win it all? The Jazz has always seemed to be a good team out of the western conference but has never had what it takes to win it all.
The Jazz has come close a few times, but only to get stopped by, arguably, one of the greatest basketball players of all-time Michael Jordan. The Jazz went to back-to-back NBA finals only to lose to the Chicago Bulls twice in a row both ending only in six games. There was only one thing the 1996-1998 Jazz team didn’t win and that was a championship and they never had the best record in the league– the Chicago Bulls did.
The 2020-2021 Utah Jazz achieved being number one seed in the western conference and they also finished with the best regular-season record. That is something no other Utah Jazz team has ever done.
This 2020-2021 Utah Jazz team has been carried by their superstar Donovan Mitchell who had an outstanding year. And for the MVP race and was also voted an NBA All-Star this season. Donovan led the Jazz to a 52-20 record. Even missing the last 16 games of the season with an injured right ankle. Even with Mitchell still being hurt the Jazz are tied with the best odds to win the championship.
It truly would be amazing to see the Jazz finally get over that hump and bring home Utah a championship. Stay tuned and be ready to watch the Jazz take on the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round in the NBA playoffs. GO JAZZ!
