HERRIMAN – The Herriman High School hosted a dance performance this October on the 11th. The theme of this dance performance was fear and control for Halloween. They had many dances one of them was Pre – co they were dressed in aged doll outfits three of them were in black while there were two in white, with the music remix of Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez as well as Dojo Cat’s Demons song. The dance was Choreographed by Gabrielle Horsley and the rest of Pre-co.

They told a story about broken dolls, who got possessed by demons and were scared and tormented the viewers. With dim lights from above the Pre – co dancers. Dancing with the Dead had guest dancers from many different schools such as Copper Hills, Riverton, Bingham, Mountain Ridge, West Jordan, and Corner Canyon. All of the schools had big numbers for their dances, such as Riverton with a total of 35 dances from their drill team, all were in sink like they were one person.

The Stage Tech students dressed up as the undead and walked around the auditorium acting like zombies, before the show started. The Dance performance had a full auditorium and it started. They did an outstanding job at this performance. They put a lot of effort and time into this show and everyone can see that through their moves. Their dance instructor Mrs. Jackson, who put on the show, when asked about how often the dancers practice said “A minimum of four times a week. She also said “ Dancing, it takes a lot of courage… to get up in front of people and then dance. But it’s extremely rewarding, fun, exciting…” The dance performances and the shows showed so much emotion through their choreography every time. So don’t miss these outstanding performers this year.
