College football went out with a bang, and didn’t disappoint in giving us a great championship game to watch.

Alabama rose to the top and defeated No. 1 Clemson 45-40 in Glendale, Arizona.

Alabama finished their season 14-1.

Both Clemson and Alabama had one of the three Heisman trophy finalists on their team this season, Deshaun Watson and Derrick Henry.

Watson had 405 yards with four touchdowns.

Henry had 36 carries, with a total of 158 yards. He scored 3 touchdowns.

Clemson had a total of 550 yards of offense, while Alabama had 473.

2 of the most important plays for Alabama came from special teams.

With 10:34 remaining in the game, the score was tied 24-24.

Alabama’s Adam Griffith then surprised Clemson with an onside kick that was received by Marlon Humphrey.

Howard caught a TD pass two plays later to give Alabama 14 points in 49 seconds.

Clemson tried to make a return, but Kenyan Drake took the kickoff at the 5.

Drake from Alabama ran an amazing 95-yard return for six points.

No. 2 Alabama won its 4th college football national title in 7 seasons, and got its 14th national title overall.

Alabama finished their season 14-1, an amazing end to an amazing season.
