Successful season for Girl’s Soccer

Herriman's post victory cheering against Riverton.
Herriman’s post victory celebration after playing Riverton

The cheers resounded off of the aluminum away bleachers as the Herriman High student section jumped to their feet. Goal. The cold wind a relief after the heat wave a week earlier. Formation reset. Ball back in play. Anticipation getting more intense as the game progresses. We gain possession and run the field. Shoot. Whoosh. Score! Back on our feet, voices loud, hands together with giant grins on our faces. The joy unmistakable on the faces of our players as they fight their way to victory. The games played by the girls soccer team most always end like this, with our student section on their feet, crazy screaming after an awesome win against the opposing team. They never fail to disappoint. Tayllor Lund, mid-field player for the Lady Mustangs, said, “These girls are my family. They are my sisters that I can tell anything to. They all have my back and I can always count on them”. The camaraderie between the players is evident through the way they work together and how they play on the field. Congratulations Lady Mustangs on your performance this season! We are proud of you.
