Don’t Bite The Hand That Feeds You

The lunch ladies are the unsung heroes of Herriman High. It may seem cliche, but nothing has been more true in the history of forever.

The women who work in Herriman’s lunchroom are all very kind and hardworking.

“I like working with food and talking with students,” Tricia Herret said.

They cook every day for the entire student population, then they clean up the mess that the horde leaves behind. “We make all the bread you eat,” said Herret. That includes all the rolls (about 640 on a normal day), and the sandwich bread.

They get here as early as 5 a.m. to start preparing food before the students get here. That way, they’re always ready to serve breakfast and lunch on time.

The long and short of it is that these women are stellar. They do an amazing job and deserve the appreciation of every student.
