The Mustangs Girls Volleyball team kicked off their 2025 season on Aug. 12 with an exciting win. In a nail biting matchup against Spanish Fork High School, the varsity team battled their way to a thrilling 3-2 victory. From powerful serves to slick passes and non-stop hustle, the girl played their hearts out. The energy was electric, the teamwork was on point, and they had a lot of determination.
Since the beginning of the season, the team has been working hard to sharpen their skills and build stronger teamwork with each practice. With returning players and fresh new talent joining the court. The Mustangs continue to grow stronger each week, showing progress both on and off the court. When asked how the season has been so far the girls responded, “It’s been a blast!” They also said that they have won more than last year, showing real progress.
So far this season, the Mustangs have played 21 matches, winning 14 and losing 7. This strong record has placed them second in the region. The Mustangs went head-to-head with Mountain Ridge. Despite putting up a strong fight and showing solid teamwork, they unfortunately came up short and lost the game. While the outcome wasn’t in their favor the Mustangs demonstrated good growth, teamwork, and courage throughout the match.
Soon after facing off against the top ranked team in the region, Mountain Ridge, the Mustangs found themselves up against another tough opponent—the Bingham Miners. Although the game ended in a loss, the Mustangs didn’t let it bring them down. Instead of getting discouraged they came back even stronger. It was clear they had something to prove. Every player stepped up their game, pushing themselves to the limits. With razor-sharp serves, powerful spikes, and smart, strategic plays, the team left no doubt that they were ready to battle with the best. Their resilience, determination and never give up attitude showed exactly what Mustang volleyball is all about. Losses may come, but these girls are in it for the long run, and they´re here to compete at the highest level.
The Mustangs have had a hot start to the season, and their chemistry on the court is amazing. They’re not just playing—they´re having fun, and turning heads while doing it. With every game there’s high energy, and good team work. One thing is for sure: these girls don´t come to mess around, they come to win.
