There’s nothing more exciting than fall in Utah. Something about the leaves changing color, the crisp air, and all the upcoming holidays puts a pep in our step! What better way to spend this fun packed time of year with someone you enjoy being around? Now, having a good time and making memories doesn’t have to be expensive. All you need is an idea and a group of really cool people.

#1. Hiking and driving under the fall colors If you’re looking for something scenic and adventurous, this is a perfect idea. There are so many great hikes in the valley and some even have campsites! You could do an evening hike and stay a little after dark for a bonfire, s’mores, games, singing and maybe some stargazing. Spending time outdoors is rejuvenating and such a breath of fresh air!

#2. Haunted houses and Hayrides One of the most exciting parts of fall is Halloween. Nothing amps up the anticipation of fall like Halloween festivities. The best part is there are tons to choose from. Haunted houses/forests, scary movies in the park, halloween carnivals, and (for those who don’t like to be scared), hayrides, corn mazes, and pumpkin decorating are some of the options. There’s TONS to do this time of year and it’s always nice to bring along that special someone.

#3. Movie Marathons Whether it’s a drive-in movie in the park or snuggling up for a movie in your basement, fall is a great time to open the windows, pile on a bunch of blankets, and put on your favorite movies. So, pop some corn! Make some hot cocoa and invite your friends over to indulge in a fall film marathon!

#4. Book store dates Browse your favorite sections together and pick up a book! Even a little hot cocoa from the café would make the experience more cozy.

#5. Pumpkin baking party There are TONS of pumpkin flavored recipes on Pinterest and even in your mother’s cookbooks! Why not make a whole day of it and stock up? It’ll be a storm of pumpkin treats!

#6. Fall school events The best time of the school year is the fall. Football games, dances, and other club events. Take your date to something like the Bargain Dance or a football game here at our very own stadium. Now is the time to enjoy this beautiful weather and spirited time of year with your friends. Create some exciting high school memories while you still can!
